Our Doctors: combined global wisdom
Morgana Hack
Founder an Holistic Medical Practitioner
Morgana is a holistic medical practitioner and founder of Be Your Own Doctor. She combines more than 25 years of experience in modern medicine, nutrition, and naturopathy such as traditional European and traditional Indian medicine.
She grew up in the Bavarian countryside in close connection with nature. As a child, she learned healthy nutrition and herbalism from her mother, a pharmacist. As a young medical student in Germany, she frequently “switched” between the systems of modern medical education at the University of Marburg in Germany and Ayurvedic Medicine education in India. Her main teacher in gurukula tradition is Dr. PMS Raveendranath, founder of Poonthottam Ayurvedasram in Kerala, India.
Travelling the world, she follows earth based spirituality, also practicing Vipassana and Tantra therapy. She gathered knowledge about herbalism in different climate zones and is author of medicinal herbal online information. In Australia, she made her permaculture design course with David Holmgren.
As a physician, she practiced holistic and ayurvedic medicine in her own Clinic for over 10 years. She is a nutritionist from the German Academy of Nutrition Medicine. She worked as a general pracitioner also in the fields of internal medicine, psychiatry, geriatric and rehabilitative medicine in hospitals, and provided medical care for refugees with the German Red Cross and Health Departments.
Being on her way to find her ecovillage to settle, she now provides online access for patient consultations and holistic health education. She offers offline seminars and workshops on her way.
